Dog Guides Canada is a national charity which provides specially trained dog guides to Canadians with visual, hearing or other physical or medical disabilities. These dog guides are provided at no cost thanks to the generous donations of individuals, service clubs and organizations across the country. Volunteer foster families are needed to raise puppies for their first year.

Wondering whatever happened to the dog you fostered? Want to see the nice person who fostered the dog or cat that YOU adopted?
We are REALLY excited about our third Project Jessie reunion and doggie fun day - because the first two were great!
We are inviting all Project Jessie adopters, drivers, fosters, volunteers and anyone else who knows and has supported the program over the years, or who is just interested in learning more about rescue, to a day of fun and joy! Well behaved doggies (on leash please!) are welcome to attend, but I think it might be too much for pussy cats.
The event is being held at the Caledon Community Complex - 6215 Old Church Road - in Caledon East, ON. It is about an hour north west of Toronto, an hour east of Guelph and an hour north of Mississauga.

The Annex Cat Rescue is a Canadian charity that is dedicated to helping stray and feral cats in downtown Toronto. ACR is a "no kill" volunteer-run grassroots community organization that does not operate a shelter. Lost or abandoned strays or the kittens of feral cats are rescued and placed in volunteer foster homes and receive veterinary care prior to adoption. Several downtown feral cat colonies are also fed by volunteers and adult feral cats are humanely trapped, neuter/spayed and returned outdoors (TNR) to help address the issue of overpopulation of homeless cats.

FFL is dedicated to finding loving, lifetime homes to animals in need.
Friends of a Feather bird/parrot shelter and sanctuary of Ontario has recently partnered with Ferrets For Life to help save even more furry and feathered lives.
Friends of a Feather works to educate the public on proper care for birds of all sizes and species. Any rescued birds that are seen as "not adoptable" for whatever reason become permanent residents of the FOAF sanctuary where they will receive the proper care and attention for the rest of their lives.
