Join us for the 7th annual Toronto Westie Walk in Erindale Park, Mississauga on Sunday September 14th. 2008.
The day begins with registration at 11:00 am, followed by pictures taken of each participant, then a short 15 minute walk around the park-lead by our very own lady Bagpiper. Next we participate in some really fun Westie Games…such a Wiener Dunkin, an Ice Cream eating contest and more! We finish the day with a BBQ and, of course, lots and lots of prizes for our participants. It is a lot of fun and a great opportunity for Westie owners to get to know each other. We ask the walkers to make donations the day of the walk or get pledges beforehand. We have some great prizes for the folks who collect the most $ and who travel the farthest distance, etc.
Westie Rescue of Canada (WRC) is a not-for-profit, national Westie rescue organization, founded and run by volunteers, to help homeless and displaced Westies find permanent and loving new homes. We are dedicated to the protection and well-being of West Highland White Terriers. WRC is funded solely by private donations and fundraising activities by volunteers within the organization. We do not get any grants or funding and ALL funds raised benefit Westies in need.
